HEAT ADVISORY: Bring pets inside during hot days/nights and never leave your pets in the car on warm days-even with windows cracked!!! Temperatures in cars RISE EXTREMELY FAST and animals can suffer from heat stroke. Exposing pets to extreme heat may also result in death. Fresh, cool water, shade and proper shelter are crucial to your animal's health!

PLEASE "LIKE" FRIENDS OF KC ANIMALS on Facebook and "LIKE" KCMO NEEDS A NEW ANIMAL SHELTER.

Current needs of KC Pet Project (operator of the KCMO animal shelter located at 4400 Raytown Rd KCMO 64129), in particular, include: durable toys, Kongs, Nylabones, other toys, treats, fleece blankets, towels, cheap, non-sterile gloves; disposable aprons or exam gowns; wall mounted hand sanitizer dispensers; hand sanitizer; Clorox bleach (no off brands please) and monetary donations for healthcare.  

Clean towels, small fleece blankets, paper towels, bleach and laundry detergent are also needed! To volunteer walking dogs or caring for cats at the KCMO Animal Shelter (that has a relatively small volunteer base), please call the shelter at 816.513.9821.  

Look for PETS LOST in the KCMO area at the KCMO Animal Shelter as this is where Animal Control takes all animals found in KCMO. See many, (but not all), animals at: http://kcpetproject.org/adoptable-pets/
